What Does Data Forensics Mean?

Data forensics, often used interchangeably with computer forensics, is essentially the study of digital data and how it is created and used for an investigation. It is the ability to extract and analyze data from Windows, Mac, Linux operating systems and mobile devices such as cell phones, tablets, GPS units, or various types of evidence are studied to investigate an alleged crime.
